We would like to inform you that as of the end of March 2010, we will no longer develop Seller Account pages to be compliant with Internet Explorer 6.
Internet Explorer 6 is no longer supported by Microsoft and is widely considered to be obsolete. It has multiple security flaws and is considerably slower than recent browsers. –Amazon

IE Death March 2.0?
Many other companies have already stopped supporting older browsers like Internet Explorer 6.0 as well as browsers that are not supported by their own manufacturers. We’re also going to begin phasing out our support, starting with Google Docs and Google Sites. As a result you may find that from March 1 key functionality within these products — as well as new Docs and Sites features — won’t work properly in older browsers. –Google
Reader @guy_fraser would like to remind us:
*MICROSOFT confirm end to IE6 pain!* Internet Explorer 6 has official “End of Life” from Microsoft on 13-Jul-2010 – see this page on their website: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/lifesupsps/#Internet_Explorer. After this date, Microsoft will treat the browser as ‘dead and buried’, they will not provide any support whatsoever, including security updates (this is a great way to explain to customers why they need to rid their networks of IE6).
Good news, eh? Now we just need to spread the word and make sure all developers actively inhibit IE6 support after that date (sooner would be better). Please post this fact and link to M$ site on your home page to make everyone very aware that IE6 is finally going to die! You’ll note the browser has already been EOL on several platforms/SPs 🙂 As with any EOL product, developers/designers can (and should/must!) easily charge extra 200% or more for working with EOL software as there is no vendor support to back them up (not that there ever was).

Gilles of Inspi.re says:
Our latest project, Inspi.re has been IE6-incompatible and proud of it since day one. We urge IE6 users to upgrade and so should every website out there. We’re doing very well without the market share of people who won’t update their web browser. So can your company.
My wish is to see the IE6 figure on that page go below 5% in the first quarter of 2010: http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp
