Daring Fireball

John Gruber and daringfireball.net doesn’t bother with Internet Explorer:

If Daring Fireball looks like shit in your browser, you’re using a shitty browser that doesn’t support web standards. Internet Explorer, I’m looking in your direction. If you complain about this, I will laugh at you, because I do not care. –John Gruber

Viewzi

http://viewzi.com – Does not code around IE6.

While Viewzi will probably work in Internet Explorer 6, we highly recommend that you upgrade your browser version. IE6 debuted in 2001, and is a dinosaur by technological standards. Newer browsers make for reliable development and safer browsing. –Viewzi

Apple’s MobileMe

Not entirely surprising considering those involved, but Apple’s latest web-based service, MobileMe, required “Safari 3, Internet Explorer 7, or Firefox 2 or later.” Apple is a high profile company, but not many others have the same savvy target market.

Know of any other company or web based service dropping IE6 support? Let me know.

37 Signals

37 Signals (the guys behind Rails, Basecamp, Backpack and more) dropped support for IE6 last week across their product line.

Oh, how liberating that must feel.
